Team news and current form: Newcastle United

Newcastle's start to their summer, even before the season kicks off, has been far from great. They have lost to Manchester United in the battle for Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko. Moreover, their star striker, Alexander Isak, wants to leave for Liverpool FC. Till now, they have only signed Anthony Elanga, Antonio Cordero, and Aaron Ramsdale. However, they are yet to find their replacement for Isak.

Eddie Howe's team started the preseason with a 4-0 victory over Carlisle United, and then lost three straight games against Celtic, Arsenal, and K-League XI. However, they were able to draw 1-1 against Tottenham Hotspur in their Asia Pre-Season tour.
