The name TRIONDA is a blend of "tri," representing the three host nations, the United States, Mexico, and Canada, and "onda," the Spanish word for "wave" or "vibe."
The design features a striking blend of red, green, and blue colors, reflecting each country’s national identity: red for Canada with maple leaf iconography, green for Mexico showcasing an eagle, and blue for the United States with star motifs.
Gold accents on the ball pay tribute to the FIFA World Cup trophy, blending tradition with elegance in its overall aesthetic.

TRIONDA's four-panel construction is a new feature that marks the lowest panel count in World Cup history. This design innovation reduces seams, providing smoother flight and enhanced aerodynamics, resulting in improved in-flight stability.
The ball's deep seams and embossed surface detailing also enhance grip, especially in humid or wet conditions, to maintain consistent performance across the varied climates of the three host countries.

One of the most groundbreaking elements of TRIONDA is its integration of advanced Connected Ball Technology. A 500Hz motion sensor chip embedded in one of the panels acts as the ball’s "heartbeat," transmitting real-time data to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.
This technology assists referees by calling out offsides immediately and helping to identify key actions such as handballs or touches on the ball. It represents the most advanced version of Adidas’ connected ball technology to date and is expected to aid in improving officiating accuracy throughout the tournament.
