The UEFA Champions League 2025/26 league phase draw is set to take place on 28th September 2025 at 9:30 pm IST. The prestigious event will be held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, bringing together 36 elite European clubs as they get to know their group stage opponents for the upcoming season.

Football fans from India can watch the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 league phase draw on the Sony LIV app and website, accessible via OTTplay Premium.

Confirmed pots for the draw

The 36 teams are divided into four pots based on their UEFA club coefficient rankings, with reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) headlining Pot 1 as the top seed.

Draw Format

During the draw, each team will be paired against eight different clubs, facing two teams from each pot.

Each matchup will consist of a home and away leg.

Interestingly, the draw is designed to prevent clubs from the same national association from facing each other more than twice.

When does the UEFA Champions League start?

The matchday 1 of the league phase, following the draw, will take place between September 16 and 18, 2025, and will continue until the final regular league matchday on January 28, 2026.

The final of the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 will take place on May 30, 2026, at the iconic Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
