Yes, we are indeed talking about all those TVF shows.
TVF over the years has become our representative that has, in more ways than one, made us feel heard and represented. The shows are heartfelt, the writing is lived in, and the vibe it brings is homely and personal. So when those three friends fall apart, the tears roll down your cheeks because you have probably witnessed something similar happening in your life or to someone you know. Yeh Meri Family Season 1

Many seasons may come and go, but Yeh Meri Family Season 1 will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Who could have thought that someone would replicate our childhood from the yesteryears so well on the screen that we might end up seeing ourselves in the characters? The fabulous makers and the brilliant actors made it possible. This show feels like home to many of us and for some, it has even become a comfort watch.
Panchayat
Cast: Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, and Chandan Roy.
Panchayat has to be the most successful TVF export to Amazon Prime Video as the show has not just impressed a niche audience but the entire country is obsessed with it. It now moves on to the third season this year, and the anticipation is high. A man is thrown into a village by fate where he doesn’t want to be. But all he can do now is survive. Panchayat brought us the heartland of India in a way that does not feel like it is done for representational purposes, but it rather feels real and lived in.
Hostel Daze
Cast: Adarsh Gourav, Nikhil Vijay, Ayushi Gupta, and Ahsaas Channa.
No one expected Hostel Daze to be the phenomenon it has become over the years. The show that has two prominent faces from the OTT space, including Adarsh and Ahsaas, is one of the most loved shows on the streamers. A show that tells the story of students who come from far away to a new town to study is indeed a very interesting thing. But Hostel Daze laces all of it with comedy because TVF already has The Kota Factory for the serious perspective.
Aspirants
Cast: Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Abhilash Thapliyal, and Namita Dubey.
TVF-making shows about Friendship are a genre in itself. No one in India ever tried to replicate the realness of that bond like team TVF does. Aspirants is a classic example of that. There are no poetic dialogues to define the moments, there are situations, and some that even feel real that lead to the tension. It feels like someone has lived through them and the magic is felt. Aspirants season 2 did take a dip, but the first season is gold-level and must not be missed.
Pitchers
Cast: Naveen Kasturia, Jitendra Kumar, Abhay Mahajan, and Arunabh Kumar.
As I said, TVF and Friendship is a genre. What happens when a group of friends decides to build a start-up and pitch it at several places for funding. Pitchers, which is now available on Amazon Prime Video tells the same story and is hilarious, emotional, sometimes heartbreaking, but also very endearing. You have to experience this beautiful show yourself because the simplicity with which it is made will make you marvel at the talent of everyone involved in making it.
