Viineet Kumar Siingh is being widely appreciated for his performance in Chhaava. He has portrayed the role of Kavi Kalash in the Vicky Kaushal-starrer. The film's intense climax featured Vicky as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Viineet as Kavi Kalash being tortured by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. A week after the film's theatrical release, OTTplay exclusively interviewed Viineet, who shed light on filming the hard-hitting climax with Vicky and his association with him since Gangs of Wasseypur.
During a conversation with us, Viineet Kumar Siingh recalled working on Chhaava's intense climax with his co-star Vicky Kaushal. "In the last scene, when Vicky was tied up—before doing that scene, I used to look at Vicky for a while and would feel that my brother has been tied up and (think) I am ready to do everything for him without giving any second thought," shared Viineet.
The actor further revealed he and Vicky trained for their respective characters for a long time. Having said that, he felt that everyone from team Chhaava had worked hard on the project.
"Everyone got small injuries. I fell from a horse and so did Vicky. I already had an injury in my back and after I fell, I got more injuries. But it got better gradually. With the love that I have got from the viewers, I feel that everything has turned out well," he remarked.
Before he concluded the chat, Viineet reflected upon his association with Vicky Kaushal since Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor admitted he considers Kaushal like his 'younger brother'.
"We were together in Gangs of Wasseypur and it was a very beautiful film. It (the film) is a history in itself. Vicky was behind the camera and I was in front of the camera. I used to like Vicky there too. In real life, he is like a younger brother to me and that is how our bonding has been. I have seen him grow, and work hard. Whenever his films are released, I call him and tell him what I like about his work. So, there has always been a bond," Viineet said and signed off.
Meanwhile, Chhaava has entered the Rs 200 crore club at box office.
