Exclusive! Bigg Boss 16 runner-up Shiv Thakare: I am really happy that trophy is in MC Stan's hand

Shiv Thakare lost out to MC Stan and became the first runner-up of Bigg Boss 16, which concluded on Sunday. The Marathi TV personality entered the Salman Khan-hosted show after being crowned the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi 2 back in 2019. Shiv's stint on Bigg Boss 16 won hearts, and many thought that he would once again bag the trophy. However, it was Stan who won the reality show, which surprised and excited many.

Now, during an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, after exiting the Bigg Boss 16 house, Shiv spoke about the same. He stated, "Even a trophy is equally important, but you had someone beside you with whom you built dreams. Stan and I had thought that if both were in the top two, it would be more fun. I am really happy that trophy is in his hand. Now that I have come out, I can see that the world has changed a bit. When I entered the house, there were many things that I wanted to earn. I still have that passion to pursue now that I have finally come out of the house."

When asked if there's any guilt after the show has ended, Shiv went on to say, "I feel no guilt because I played the game for fun and did not force anything. I felt quite a few times that I should have done something, as should my Mandali. If you are my friend, my way of reacting to things will be different; that's why we are friends. If I become something else than Shiv Thakare for friendship, then I don't deserve the trophy at all. I would have been lost in spite of winning the trophy."

Praising MC Stan about the same, Shiv said, "Stan also maintained that he didn't break his principles. We both didn't even try to convince anyone to help us reach the top and win the trophy. At one point in time, we had starved the whole day and decided not to eat at all. We did it with a lot of fun, and I am happy that I reached this stage with my principles."
