The year 2022 is an exciting year for the actor Shriya Pilgaonkar. Pilgaonkar has six back-to-back releases this year. The actor's first mini-series Murder in Agonda was recently out on April 8 where she is seen in the role of a forensic expert, Sarla Salelkar who is working on the murder case of a woman from one of the influential families in Goa. The crime thriller also features Aasif Khan, Kubra Sait and Lillete Dubey in lead roles.

In a recent interview with OTTplay, the Mirzapur actor shared her favourite shows and films on OTT that she has enjoyed watching recently.

Shriya is particularly impressed by the women-centric story and the characters in the film. The film, directed by Suresh Triveni, stars Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in the lead roles. Vidya plays the role of a hard-hitting journalist, Maya while Shefali plays her cook, Ruksana. The thriller is about a hit-and-run case of an 18-year-old girl that takes place in the late-night hours in Mumbai. The case is being covered by Vidya's character and also involves a rage-filled mother, a cop, and a system all caught in an ethical quandary. The film also features Rohini Hattangadi, Surya Kasibhatla, Manav Kaul, Kashish Rizwan, Shafeen Patel, Vidhatri Bandi, Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Ghanshyam Lalsa, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, and Junaid Khan.

Euphoria Season 2

The award-winning teen drama is created and written by Sam Levinson for HBO. It revolves around a teenager, Rue Bennett, played by Zendaya, who is recovering from drug addiction. She is seen struggling to fit in the world and the group of high school students, who themselves are trying to find their identities while dealing with trauma, drugs, friendships, love and sex. The show opened to positive reviews and is highly praised especially for the subject that it deals with, the performances, cinematography, plot and the background score. Zendaya won Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series. The show went on to become the second most-viewed series on HBO after Game of Thrones. Season two of the show was recently released and it has been renewed for another season. The series also stars Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney, among others.

The Disciple

The Marathi film, written and directed by Chaitanya Tamhane, stars Aditya Modak, Arun Dravid, Sumitra Bhave, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat, and Kiran Yadnyopavit. The film received a positive response upon its release and was the first Indian film since the 2001 film, Monsoon Wedding to compete at the 77th Venice International Film Festival. The film follows the story of a musician Sharad Nerulkar who devotes his entire life to Indian classical music. He follows the traditions and discipline of renowned gurus in the field only to wonder years later if he can actually achieve the excellence that he is running after.
