Celeb Recommends: Yami Gautam suggests hit movies and series to watch on OTT platforms

Yami Gautam shares, "There is a beautiful show called After Life. Why am I seeing it's a beautiful show apart from, of course, the brilliant actor and the writer? But there was one scene I was watching, and I just couldn't watch it anymore. I know the story; I watched the previous season, and I won't give the spoilers in case somebody is planning to watch it. Such a simple scene, no background score, maybe very gently, just one person talking about how much he loves his wife. He's talking to his wife, and she is no more. That's the concept. She has left these videos for him. My god, the dialogues, the simplicity, and the performance; they're so real. There is no close-up, just a single angle, a single shot, kind of so simple. But you feel so strongly for this character. I love that you feel that love for this man. I love that."

Yami Gautam revealed, "I watched The Office all over again. I love comedy." The Office is an American mockumentary comedic television series that follows the daily lives of office workers at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The Griffin family's exploits are depicted in the animated series Family Guy. Peter and his stay-at-home wife, Lois, live in Quahog, Rhode Island, with their three children. Yami Gautam went on to say, "I forgot the name of this Tom Hanks film, which is on Apple and it's got this robot. There's some radioactivity that has happened out there, and you can't step out unless you wear a suit and all that. All in all, he is survived by this robot that he created and a dog. How they just engage you with this is amazing."

Yami Gautam said, "Then I watched Squid Game. I thought that was just your pure, quintessential thriller drama. Actually, given the past two years we've had, you'll feel people won't like so much violence. It has become so big!"

Yami Gautam also enjoyed the Netflix series. The actor said, "I watched Dark, which was very interesting. It's been a while, but I found it interesting." Dark comes to a mind-bending finale, transcending the boundaries of space and time. As Jonas strives to make sense of what this version of Winden means for his fate upon arriving in a new universe, those left behind in the previous world are left on a mission to break the loop that now bends not just time but also space.
