From Darlings to Masaba Masaba 2: OTT releases that you must not miss this August

Netflix Original film Wedding Season is a romantic-comedy drama that features Suraj Sharma and Pallavi Sharda in lead roles. This coming-of-age film is a satirical note on the arranged marriage system that prevails in India. Asha, played by Pallavi, is an independent woman who puts her career at the top. Her mother acts as a nuisance in her life who, like any other Indian parent, wants her to get married. What follows is her encounter with Ravi played by Sura Sharma and their journey in finding out if they are a perfect match for each other.

Kaduva is a Malayalam masala drama that features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles and Vivek Oberoi and Samyuktha Menon in the supporting cast. Masaba Gupta starrer Masaba Masaba 2 is a sequel of original semi-fictional Netflix show Masaba Masaba, that pens down the life of ace fashion designer Masaba Gupta. Masaba is accompanied by her mother Neena Gupta in the series who plays herself. The sequel focuses on the journey of mother-daughter duo and them finding a balance between their personal and professional life.

Janhvi Kapoor starring Good Luck Jerry is a black-comedy crime-thriller directed by Siddharth Sen. The film features Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, and Neeraj Singh among others in supporting roles. It is a remake of the 2018 Tamil movie Kolamaavu Kokila. The story revolves around the life of Jerry or Jaya who works at a massage parlor in Punjab. The film revolves around the plotline of Jerry trying to make more money through unconventional means when her mother gets diagnosed with cancer. What follows is a series of funny, thrilling, and entertaining events.
