Produced by Sanjay Dutt & Directed by Raj Gupta, Baba is a 2019 Marathi language drama starring Nandita Dhuri, Shruha Joshi & Deepak Dobriyal. Deaf and dumb Madhav and his wife raise perfectly speaking child Shankar. Madhav and Anandi go above and beyond to make sure that their son is happy with them. Shankar was 3 days old when his biological mother Pallavi and her father gave him to their maid Anandi. Now that Shankar is eight years old, Pallavi files a legal case and drags Madhav and Anandi to court, to take back her son legally. The case depends on Shankar's ability to speak and convince the court for his wish to keep living with Madhav but the court works on logically anticipating the pros and cons of either two sides.
