Black Adam

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the American superhero film is based on the eponymous DC Comics character who was imprisoned about 5,000 years ago in ancient Egypt and was bestowed with the powers of the great Egyptian gods. On attaining freedom from the shackles of his tomb, he gets ready to impose his unique form of justice on this modern world. Written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, the movie is a spin-off of the 2019 superhero film Shazam! (2019). Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson essays the character of Teth-Adam or Black Adam, the anti-hero ,whereas Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell and Pierce Brosnan essays various members of the Justice Society of America, namely Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Kent Nelson. Apart from them, the cast also includes Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu, among others. The movie is the eleventh film in the DC Extended Universe.
