Guddi

Guddi, a 1971 movie, is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee starring Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Utpal Dutt.  The film is about a schoolgirl who is obsessed with an actor.  The movie starts with Guddi, a schoolgirl who lives with her father and admires the film star, Dharmendra. She believes him to be a hero who fights bad men, who can never be wrong and is not comparable to anyone. She is not only obsessed with Dharmendra but loves him enough to dream about him, to sing with him, and promises to be with him forever. Towards the end of the movie, Guddi meets Dharmendra and realizes that everything is not as beautiful as it seems on-screen. After meeting Dharmendra and talking to him, Guddi understands that Dharmendra has the same life problems and insecurities as any other normal human.
