Jai Bhim

Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Jai Bhim is a 2021 legal crime drama focusing on the themes of violence faced by marginalized communities. The movie follows a trial man from the Irular tribe getting wrongfully accused of a robbery and tortured in prison. His wife, with the help of Mythra, a lady who teaches adults from the tribe, raises their complaints to Chandru, an activist lawyer. The film follows their fight against injustice. Based on a true case in 1993 fought by Justice K. Chandru, the film stars Suriya (who also starred in Soorarai Pottru 2020, and the Singam movies), Lijo Mol Jose, Manikandan K., Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh, among others.
