Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam

Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam is a 2003 Indian Malayalam language film directed by T.V Chandran. This is a drama film which follows the story of Shahina, a school girl who’s pushed into marriage by her family. Shahina marries Rasaq and the latter has evil intentions. He wants to go to the gulf but lacks the funds. So, Rasaq has married her for dowry, even though he has married before. Rasaq is denied by Shahina as he makes advances towards her. Shahina is then given sedatives and Rasaq molests her. He soon divorces her on false premise. Shahina returns to her home, only to realize that she’s pregnant with Rasaq’s baby. Shahina’s character is maligned and she is directionless in life.
