The Matrix

Serving as the first instalment in the Matrix film franchise, The Matrix is an American science fiction action film directed by The Wachowskis. The film depicts a bleak dystopian future where people are living in a simulated reality called the Matrix created by intelligent machines to harness their bodies as a power source, without their knowledge. Thomas Anderson, a computer programmer also known as "Neo", discovers the reality and joins a group of individuals who have been liberated from the Matrix, to fight against the machines. The film features performances from Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano.
