Fahadh Faasil, who has been garnering positive response for his portrayal as an agent in Vikram ever since the movie released, is yet to have a theatrical release in Malayalam in the pandemic era. He has had a few direct OTT releases among which Joji and Malik won appreciation from both critics and film buffs alike.

He's now waiting for the release of Malayankunju which is hitting the screens on July 22. Scripted by Mahesh Narayanan, the movie marks the return of AR Rahman to Mollywood after three decades. The trailer of Malayankunju has been receiving phenomenal response from cinephiles, and it looks like Tamil movie buffs are also looking forward to the project.

The other day, Suriya heaped praise on the film's trailer and went gaga over Fahadh's selection of movies. Now, it is the turn of none other than Kamal Haasan. The Ulaganayagan, who was Fahadh's co-star in Vikram, took to Twitter and was all praise for the talented Malayalam actor.

He shared Malayankunju's trailer from his Twitter page and said that Fazil's (Fahadh's father) son is his child, too, and urged the actor to forge ahead. His tweet read, "Let excellence win all the time. Fahad forge ahead. All my agents should win. Failure is not a choice. Go show them what a team is all about (sic)."

Interestingly, the movie's writer Mahesh Narayanan, who also happens to be its cinematographer, too, will be directing Kamal soon; both of them had confirmed their collaboration earlier. Mahesh was the editor of Kamal's Vishwaroopam as well.

Fans of Kamal are now eagerly awaiting an announcement on their matinee idol's next project. It is expected that the veteran actor-filmmaker will join Shankar's Indian 2 soon to complete the pending portions.
