Ajay Devgn to attach Maidaan teaser with Bholaa's theatrical run; announces new release date

On March 30, there will be a special surprise for all Ajay Devgn fans! The action-adventure movie Bholaa will have a trailer for his forthcoming film Maidaan linked so that viewers may see it on a wide screen.

Amit Ravindernath Sharma is the director of the true-life story-based film Maidaan, which also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao.

Ajay Devgn plays football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the film, which is based on the golden age of Indian football (1952–1962).

The main filming started on August 19, 2019, but was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It ended in May 2022. The film was supposed to be released in theatres on June 3, 2022, but it was pushed back due to awaiting post-production work.

Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively wrote the script and dialogue for this movie, and AR Rahman created the music. Zed Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla produced it. On June 23, 2023, the movie is scheduled to open in theatres all around the world.

A source had earlier told Bollywood Hungama that with its prestige, Maidaan deserves a release date that will give it the best chance of succeeding at the box office. May 12 is a tricky date with a steady flow of releases, and consequently, the creators are now going to release it on June 23, 2023. If there are no further delays, this would be the film's last and final release date.

The source also said that the Maidaan edit will be locked on May 12. However, the problem is not that the content is late, but that the release window isn't good enough. After combing over the calendars, the team is now committed to bringing Maidaan on June 23, 2023.
