Recently, we had reported that a new schedule of Vijay's Varisu kicked off in Vizag amid Telugu Film Producers Guild announcing a strike. Now, Ajith, too, has traveled to the industrial city to complete a few portions of his ongoing project AK 61. We hear that the makers will be shooting the climax sequence here.

Most of the film crews which head to Vizag for shooting plan their schedules in the popular Visakhapatnam Port for stunt scenes or dance sequences. But team AK 61 will be shooting in Araku Valley, a hill station which is more than 100 kms away from Vizag. A few pictures of the star from airport have started doing the rounds on social media.

Film buffs are wondering about the connection between a small village and the movie's genre. Billed as a heist drama, the film being directed by H Vinoth, is expected to release in theatres in December. The untitled project marks the third collaboration between Ajith, Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor.

AK 61 was initially announced as a Deepavali release, but Karthi's Sardar and Sivakarthikeyan's Prince will be hitting screens for the festival. Needless to say, Ajith fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the movie's title and release date.

Manju Warrier, Veera and Kavin among others play pivotal roles in the film which has music composed by Ghibran. The movie, which went on floors earlier this year, was prominently shot in Hyderabad. A huge set was erected in the city which is a replica of the popular State Bank of India building located at Mount Road in Chennai recently.

The makers have been tight-lipped about the project ever since the film took off and fans are now looking forward to the first look poster which is expected to be unveiled as soon as the shooting is wrapped up.
