The film also starring Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth is produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under Dwaraka Creations
Akhanda, the much-awaited film marking the reunion of filmmaker Boyapati Srinu and Nandamuri Balakrishna, has completed its shoot. The film has Balakrishna pairing up with actress Pragya Jaiswal for the first time and also features Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth in crucial roles. The composer of the film, S Thaman, took to his social media handle to announce the completion of the filming. He tweeted, "THE MIGHTY #AKHANDA WRAPS UP SHOOT Heart suit WITH A SONG . Going to ROAR Lion face BIG TIME IN THEATRES SOON. THE BLOCKBUSTER COMBINATION OF #NBK GAARU & #BOYAPATI GAARU #BB3 ARE READY FOR A HATRICK. God bless!"
Balakrishna, Boyapati Srinu, Miryala Ravinder Reddy are showcasing a thumbs-up sign to audiences in the image announcing the news. The first single from the film, a heartwarming melody titled Adigaa Adigaa, was released recently, for which SP Charan and ML Sruthi have lent their voices. The lyrical video of the number has already clocked 3 million views on YouTube and looks set for more. Cinematographer C Ram Prasad has cranked the camera for the mass entertainer whose crew also comprises ace editor Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao.
If all goes well, the makers, Dwaraka Creations, are considering releasing the film across the globe on November 4, on the eve of Diwali. Earlier, the film was to arrive for Dussehra though the team changed its plans at the last minute. The release timing will still pose a challenge for team Akhanda, given they'll be competing for the audience's attention along with Rajinikanth's Annatthe and Maruthi's entertainer Manchi Rojulochaie as well. However, the fact that Balakrishna and Boyapati are coming together after two blockbusters like Legend and Simha should work in Akhanda's favour.
