Anushka Sharma seems to be having quite an eventful year. The star celebrated her 34th birthday on Sunday, and seems to have a lot to look forward to. The actress, who will next be seen in Chakda 'Xpress, talked about the projects she prefers to do in the future.
According to a report in Mid-Day, Anushka considered herself ‘blessed’ that she is at a point in her career where she has a say in choosing the projects she wants to do. The actress talked about how she wanted to pick the ‘best’ of the scripts that came her way, and that doing so would justify the time she will have to spend away from her daughter. The actress and her husband, Virat Kohli, have a daughter who was born last year. Anushka talked about how she wanted to give equal importance to both her career and family, moving forward.
The actress also talked about the kind of films she wanted to take up in future. "I will always be open to doing projects that are incredibly interesting, represents women in cinema correctly and is also disruptive and content forward,” she said. Anushka added that she would be more than happy to say yes to such projects, if and when they come her way.
Anushka’s last film appearance was in the 2018 film Zero, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Interestingly, the film also marked SRK’s last big screen appearance. But, the actress served as a producer for OTT releases such as Bulbbul (2020) and Mai (2020). Anushka produced the projects via her Clean Slate Filmz production banner, which she started with her brother Karnesh Ssharma in 2013. The actress stepped down from the company in March this year.
Anushka will next be seen in the Netflix film, Chakda 'Xpress, essaying the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
