AR Rahman, Aishwarya Rajinikanth tease fans with the jamming session of sports drama Lal Salaam

The news of Aishwarya Rajinikanth returning to direction was received with excitement by moviegoers. The announcement of her next, titled Lal Salaam, was made recently. Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play lead roles in the movie which is likely to go on floors soon.

The sports drama is based on cricket, and has music by the one and only AR Rahman. As if this isn't enough, Superstar Rajinikanth is playing a cameo in the movie. Fans of Thalaivar were overwhelmed ever since the news of his inclusion in the project was out.

Rahman has now teased his fans by posting a short video from the film's composition which is currently happening in Mumbai. Sporting a white kurta, he is seen indulging in a jamming session with a harmonium. Aishwarya is also seen sitting beside him, eagerly listening to the maestro's tunes.

Quite impressed with the composition, she is seen folding her hands with gratitude, thanking the legendary musician. Rahman took to his social media page to post the video and went on to describe Aishwarya as the most promising female director. His tweet read, "Jamming with the most promising female Director @ash_rajinikanth for #lalsalaam in mumbai (sic)."

Aishwarya is returning to film direction after a seven-year hiatus. Her last outing was Vai Raja Vai which was released in 2015. The movie, starring Gautham Karthik in the lead, had a cameo by her ex-husband Dhanush as well. Her directorial debut was 3, starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.

Lyca Productions, which signed a two-film deal with Rajinikanth, is bankrolling Lal Salaam. Fans are now curious to know the second project the star is going to act under the production house.
