Director Aditya Suhas Jambhale's political drama Article 370 has released in theatres today. Yami Gautam plays a tough intelligence officer in the film, which managed to create a strong buzz with its trailer and title track some days ago. Those who watched the film first day, first show have already taken to X (formerly Twitter) to share their views and experiences. And most of them are positive. Read below to know more. 

What netizens have to say about Article 370 

After watching the film, National Award-winning theatre director Bhasha Sumbli wrote on Twitter, "Attended the special screening of #Article370 in Delhi. A cinematic masterpiece." She added that every actor was a "treat to watch" and that Yami was "so so brilliant as usual'.  

Requesting that everyone watch the movie, another Twitter user named Anil wrote, "Please watch this movie #Article370 as it portrays a pivotal moment in Bharat's history.' 

Lauding the detail-oriented film, another user wrote, "A well-researched film with great detailing." 

One Twitter user found Article 370 to be ''gripping'' and applauded Yami Gautam for her "terrific" performance in the movie. 

One film buff who watched the film's first day first show, posted on Twitter, ''Yami Gautam – really superb acting. #Article370." 

Writer, actor and director Adivi Sesh was also all praise of the film. He wrote, "Very rarely does one see a well-crafted political thriller done right like #Article370.'' 

Entertainment analyst Rajat R Lunkad pointed out, "#Article 370 is gritty, gutsy and emotional political drama filled with patriotism." 

What is Article 370 about? 

In the aftermath of the 2016 Kashmiri unrest, Rajeshwari Swaminathan, the Prime Minister's Office's top-secret mission coordinator, appointed Zooni Haksar, a young local field agent, to take action against terrorists and terminate the billion-dollar war economy in the valley by rescinding the infamous Article 370. This was an extremely challenging undertaking. In the movie, Yami plays an intelligence officer who battles corruption and terrorism in Kashmir.  

How is Article 370 likely to fare at the box office? 

According to Sacnilk.com reports, Article 370 sold more than 80,000 tickets across three national chains: PVR, Cinepolis, and INOX. It is expected to sell approximately 1,00,000 tickets on its opening day. On Day 1, Article 370 is expected to gross over ₹5 crore at the box office.
