The world right now is busy decoding everything happening in and around the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the studio hasn't had a good year and is now working according to a new strategy. This new strategy so far is working, with both shows released under it delivering good content, and even the buzz around Deadpool & Wolverine feels like the old times when releases were rare but quality-based. The biggest moment for the MCU most recently, apart from the trailer release of the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer, was Captain America making his way back to the MCU through X-Men ‘97. The scene took the world by storm, and fans were left obsessing over his presence in the franchise. However, the latest reports now say that Chris Evans is returning.

Chris Evans Returns to the MCU?

Well, you heard that just right. Chris Evans, who hung up the suit and passed the shield to Sam Wilson aka Falcon (played by Anthony Mackie), has been asked about his return to the MCU since Avengers: Endgame. It's been half a decade now, and the actor has always considered the trajectory of his return to play Steve Rogers a tall order. But fans across the globe have been wanting that to happen. Recently it was reported that he may have a cameo in Captain America: Brave New World where Mackie takes over as the Captain. But now, a new report has an even bigger update to share. Read on to know everything.

As per scooper My Time To Shine Hello (via Comic Book Movie), Chris Evans has officially signed up for a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that too for Avengers: Secret Wars. Yes, you read that right; he is probably returning for the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe project that is currently in the making and will play a part as Captain America. There are no details yet on whether he will be a part of Avengers 5 (earlier titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty) or not.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that Chris Evans is reprising his role as Human Torch in Deadpool & Wolverine, not Captain America. If you are confused, before his Steve Rogers fame as Captain America, he played Human Torch aka Johnny Storm in Fox's Fantastic Four franchise. As Deadpool & Wolverine look at the mutants while opening doors for them in the MCU, the probability of him reprising Human Torch is much higher.

About Avengers 6

Avengers: Secret Wars aka Avengers 6 sits right at the end of the Multiverse Saga after Avengers 5, which has been the talk of the town for a while. The movie will be a monster of a film for its scale as it will feature almost every Marvel Cinematic Universe character you have seen to date in films and the shows that were made. Reports have been on the rise that the studio has been hunting for a director for the movie. Sam Raimi’s name was the most prominent and buzz-making on the list.
