Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor have not only teamed up with each other but also with filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor for Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The film shoot kickstarted in October 2020 and wrapped it within a couple of months. Now, the makers have announced the release date of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and the wait is nearly over. The film is slated to release on December 10, 2021, on the big screen.

Ayushmann took to his social media pages and shared a shirtless selfie while holding the clapperboard. In another photo, he is happily posing with Abhishek and Vaani. The National Award-winning actor captioned his post as "Body dekh lo, Shakal baad mein dikhaayenge. Theatre khul gaye hain, dilon pe phir se chaa jaayenge. #ChandigarhKareAashiqui, releasing on 10th December 2021."

In the film, Ayushmann plays the role of a cross-functional athlete and not much has been disclosed about Vaani's character. Meanwhile, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui also features Abhishek Bajaj as the main antagonist.

The film was earlier scheduled to release in July this year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the release date got postponed indefinitely. 

Earlier in a statement to Bollywood Hungama, Pragya Kapoor, who is co-producing the film with T-Series talking about wrapping the shoot in 48 days.

She said, "It's teamwork and I'm immensely grateful to our unit for helping us achieve this. The New normal has gotten the best out of us within a short period. We are happy to become one of the first Indian films to pull this off. It’s not been easy but together we made it happen."

Meanwhile, Vaani had her first theatrical release this year with Bell Bottom where she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar. After a two-week run on the big screen, the film dropped on Amazon Prime Video.
