Adah on the Bastar song

“It has the deshbhakt bhavana,” Adah shares. She further calls it soothing and sad to even just listen to it. “It’s got that melancholy vibe,” she further explains.

How her look was decided

Talking about the acting process, she explains that when the song comes about, her character is extremely angry. She then shares that Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who produced the movie, told her that her eyes will be covered in the song. “Jo aankhein hai Adah ki woh bahut expressive hai,” she recalled him saying, adding that it was his idea to get dark glasses.

The acting process

The actress then explains the scene where she cries and when the tear comes off, she wipes it off. Adah was asked to show her frustration with her jaw. It was a point where her character IPS Neerja Madhavan is really mad but controlling her breathing pattern. She inhaled, controlled her breath and swallowed, to get the breathing pattern right. It was what was the need for and eventually used in the song. Her character also pays tribute to all the deceased, along with the CM of Bastar, played by Kishor Kadam’s Rajendra Karma.

Ratna, on the other hand, had to express her complete emotional breakdown. All the mothers too had to cry because they just found out that their sons are dead. It’s a feeling only a mother would understand.

The film also stars Vijay Krishna as Lanka Reddy, Shilpa Shukla as Neelam Nagpal, Yashpal Sharma as Utpal Trivedi, Subrat Dutta as Millind Kashyap, Raima Sen as Vanya Roy and Anangsha Biswas as Lakshmi.
