Though this damsel is in distress, there is no knight in shining armour to save her (not that she wants one) and she relies on her wits and courage to fight her way out.

The Kitchen (2024)

This hard-hitting film follows Izi who is forced to rethink his priorities after the orphaned Benji enters his life and his 'home' in The Kitchen, a pathetic housing estate. Set in the dystopian future in London, the film showcases the stark contrast between the super-rich and poor. British actor Kane Robinson essays the role of Izi, while Jedaiah Bannerman plays Benji.

Irish Wish (2024)

Cast - Lindsay Lohan, Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos

Lindsay Lohan returns to the rom-com genre with Irish Wish, wherein she plays book editor Maddie Kelly whose best friend is set to marry the man of her dreams in Ireland. Then in a magical twist of fate, she finds herself to be the bride. But now that she is getting what she dreamed of, will she be happy or does her heart yearn for someone else?

This biographical film portrays the inspiring story of Shirley Chisholm as she created history in 1972 by becoming the first Black woman to run for the US President. Regina King stars as Shirley Chisholm, who was also the first Black woman to be elected to the US Congress. This movie tracks her trail-blazing journey and her campaign that broke several barriers.

Love at First Sight (2023)

Hadley and Oliver first meet at the airport and find themselves falling for each other during the flight to London. They decide to keep in touch, but fate has other plans. The film follows the couple as they try to find each other again, reconnect, and maybe start their happily ever after. The Equalizer 3 (2023)

Don't Worry Darling (2022)
