Bhalobashar Morshum from X=Prem gets a colourful makeover

In 2022, Srijit Mukherji presented a futuristic love story in X=Prem on a black and white canvas. The film which features Shruti Das, Anindya Sengupta, Arjun Chakrabarty, and others in the lead, also has a number of soulful songs. While the film failed to impress the box office, the songs – composed by Saptak Sanai – became popular and topped the charts for a while. After more than a year of its release, one of the songs, Bhalobashar Morshum, was rereleased on Thursday. However, this time the same visuals are converted on the colour scape.

On Thursday, an event was hosted for the relaunch of the song. The lead actors and composers were present at the party. Before the launch, Saptak presented a lively gig which was extended even after the launch. Composed by Sanai, this song was recorded by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. 

X=Prem delves into a college love story in which Khilat (Anindya Sengupta) and Joyee (Shruti Das) and the unrequited love of Arnab for Joyee. Khilat and Joyee meet with an accident and as a result, he loses a portion of his memory. In fact, he forgets that memory of loving Joyee. Khilat opts for memory transplantation. Meanwhile, Arnab fails to fall out of love with Joyee. The melancholy film deals with rebuilding memory and falling out of it. 

X=Prem introduces Anindya, Shruti, and Madhumita Basak on the big screen. Despite its box office debacle, the performances of this bunch of youngsters were appreciated. The use of black and white in filming has also been loved by the audience.

Now Shruti is busy with her shooting in Debaloy Bhattacharya’s Shri Swapankumar-er Badami Hyena’r Kobole with Abir Chatterjee. The film is based on Swapan Kumar’s legendary pulp fiction story with detective Deepak Chatterjee as the hero. On the other hand, Anindya has recently worked with Indrasis Acharya in Niharika.
