Bhamakalapam 2 glimpse — Priyamani returns as 'dangerous housewife' with a heist plan

Aha on Thursday unveiled a glimpse of Bhamakalapam 2, a follow-up film to its 2022 dark comedy hit. Priyamani takes the lead role once again , with the film being both written and directed by Abhimanyu Tadimeti, the original creator of the franchise.

Bhamakalapam 2 glimpse is a refresher

The glimpse has been cut with the sole intention of refreshing the memory of the fans of Bhamakalapam. It begins with Sharanya Pradeep's Shilpa thanking Priyamani's Anupama Mohan for including her in her next attempt to get rich quickly. In the previous film, Shilpa portrayed a key role as a maid working in the residential complex where Anupama lived. Anupama and Shilpa shared a strong bond, with the latter serving as the primary source of intriguing gossip for the former. Given Shilpa's extensive maid services in various households within the building, she usually had the ringside view of all the juicy details of people's personal lives. And Anupama delighted in all the gossip that Shilpa shared during their tea sessions.

The partners in crime

In Bhamakalapam 2, Anupama and Shilpa seem to have taken their companionship to the next level. The duo officially become partners in crime. Shilpa expresses her gratitude to Anupama for making her a partner in her plan. "I thought you would give a partnership in your hotel business. But, I never imagined you would give me a bumper offer like this," she exclaims.

What the two women with a great appetite for gossip, violence and success are planning to do is not revealed in the promo. However, it's clear that should they succeed in this endeavour, they will end up with a bag full of money that would improve their lives drastically. While Shilpa seems to be excited at the prospect of achieving financial independence, Anupama is having second thoughts. "We will get Rs 25 lakhs each. It's Rs 50 lakhs in total. Just think about how many idlis we would have to sell to make that much money," reasons Shilpa while reminding Anupama is not an average housewife but a "dangerous housewife."

Aha has yet not announced the premiere date for Bhamakalapam 2.
