The showrunners in Bengaluru have nothing to do with vote tallying, says Sudeep

Every time there is an allegation against the showrunners of Bigg Boss Kannada, it is up to host Kiccha Sudeep to ensure that the blame is shifted elsewhere or that a clear image is presented. In the past, when audiences took to social media blaming the showrunners for introducing tasks that had potentially heated outcomes, some of which were toxic, Sudeep had to defend them and say that it was down to the contestants about how things turned out.
On Day 1 of the Bigg Boss Kannada 10 grand finale, Sudeep had one such duty yet again. In the public domain, the perception of the reality show is that it is not only scripted, but that the showrunners fudge voting results in favour of contestants who will be beneficial to the telecasting partner – Colors Kannada. In the history of the show, most winners or top contestants have gone on to have long associations with the channel, either as anchors or judges on other reality shows or actors on daily soaps.
This time around, the allegation is that the winner was fixed weeks ago, with Sangeetha Sringeri supposedly walking away with the title. It is being said that in terms of actual number of votes, Varthur Santhosh is ahead of the rest of the contestants, but that the showrunners will go with a different result.
Taking the stage at the grand finale, Sudeep clarified that the showrunners of Bigg Boss Kannada 10 in Bengaluru have no part in tallying the votes received by each contestant. The audit, he said, is done in Mumbai, adding that the votes for the finalists were to the tune of crores.
Meanwhile, on Day 1 of the grand finale, Tukali Santhosh was eliminated, as he fell short in the voting tally. The remaining contestants, Sangeetha, Karthik Mahesh, Drone Pratap, Varthur Santhosh and Vinay Gowda will return for Day 2 of the finale on January 28. The episode will be telecast at 7.30 pm on Colors Kannada and JioCinema.
