It’s been a week since Snehith Gowda has been eliminated from Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10, but unlike other contestants, he was not seen much in the public domain or giving media interviews about his time on the show. The actor has surfaced now, a delay he attributes to the fact that it took him a while to come to terms with the perception audiences had of him and the related negativity. Snehith, as it turns out, was under the impression that he was doing a good job on the show, but has now realized that none of what he did worked out the way he expected it to and instead backfired miserably. There’s been so much hate and negativity against Snehith on social media, a lot of which reached his parents too, which affected them.
Speaking to Filmy First, Snehith addressed the negativity that’s developed towards him. Normally, if Snehith has a difference of opinion with someone and/or cannot see eye to eye with him/her, he will stay away from that person. But that is not something he could do within the Bigg Boss Kannada house. Irrespective of his personal feelings to fellow contestants, Snehith had to soldier on and have meals with them, spend time with them and do tasks too. This, he says, did not come easily to him; it was a struggle to feel something and behave a different way. In fact, Snehith says that the fact that people could make out from his body language whether or not he genuinely liked someone or not, was also a factor. His reluctance to confront contestants when there were issues and letting it slide instead of sorting it out and, taking sides on certain matters also hurt his image among audiences, he admits.
What hurts the actor is that being on the show was not his idea. His mother is a big fan and wanted to see him in the house. And despite his best efforts within the house, winning captaincy, and ‘uthama’ status, which he thought would make his parents happy, Snehith realized that nothing worked and that it had all become quite ugly.
