In the last couple of weeks, popular Kannada general entertainment channel Colors Kannada has been teasing the imminent start of the 10thseason of Bigg Boss Kannada, a landmark occasion for the channel. And now, they have finally set a start date for the 100-day TV season to start. Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 will kick off on October 8 (Friday). This time around the show has moved to a new premises. For years, the Bigg Boss Kannada house had been housed at the erstwhile Innovative Film City, but now that is under new management and has a new name too, the reality show has moved out and into a new premise.

Kiccha Sudeep, who has served as host of the show since the beginning, including last year’s Bigg Boss Kannada OTT mini season, returns to the helm of affairs, despite his busy shooting schedule for his next, Max. The showrunners have been tight-lipped about the format of the show, but have been promising through promos that audiences are in for a treat, with a 100-day festival set to be unleashed on them. This being the milestone 10th season, there will be a theme for the show, which is said to be centred on happiness. 100-happy days is apparently the theme this time.

Also, it is believed that Season 9’s Naveenaru vs Praveenaru concept will not be repeated, in favour of a full set of new contestants this time. The buzz on social media is that a mix of actors from cinema and TV, as well as a few social media influencers and celebrities from social circles will make up the 17 people headed into the house. Some of the names that have been making the rounds on social media as potential Season 10 contestants are actresses Megha Shetty, Rekha, Asha Bhatt and Namrata Gowda, actor Suneel Raoh, singer Ishani, YouTuber Nikhil as well Instagram reel fame Bhumika Basavaraj. Suneel Raoh has said he is not going into the house, adding that his name has come up every single year since the show started.
