The Movie Critic is said to be the final movie of Quentin Tarantino’s career and Brad Pitt has reportedly been cast in it.
One has to be a legendary maverick filmmaker for the world to be hooked on each update about their last movie. Quentin Tarantino, over the course of his career, has earned that status and deserves the position where he has held his entire fandom by chokehold, making them crave every single detail about his last film titled The Movie Critic. The fact that it is his last movie has left everyone curious to watch what he has in store for us. The latest news tells us that Brad Pitt has turned out to be the first actor to join the much-anticipated movie, sending a happy shockwave across the globe.
But what if we burst the bubble a bit and change the way you have been looking at The Movie Critic for the past day? Well, what if we tell you that Brad Pitt might have become the very first star to join Quentin Tarantino’s last movie but cannot be the leading man of the film? Yes, you read that right. If we go by the last statement about his leading man for The Movie Critic Quentin Tarantino made, Pitt has very little chance of being one.
According to Quentin Tarantino’s comments about his hero for his last film (via Screenrant), he will be around 35 and a fresh face. The filmmaker himself said that he wants to work with a new actor as the lead of the film. "It's going to be somebody in the 35-year-old ballpark. It'll definitely be a new leading man for me,” Tarantino said. This means Brad Pitt, who is 60 right now and at least will be a year older by the time the movie gets made, has the bare minimum chance to be the last hero for Quentin.
Add to this that Brad Pitt has already worked with Quentin Tarantino in two movies. The actor-director duo has collaborated on two celebrated movies, including Inglourious Bastards (2009), in which he played Lt Aldo Raine, and in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019), where he played Cliff Booth. However, the actor wasn’t the leading man in either of the two. This also means that he will be a pivotal supporting character in his third collaboration with the maverick filmmaker.
The Movie Critic, by Quentin Tarantino, is based on a real writer from the 1970s who died in his early thirties. The movie is an intense drama, and not much has been revealed about the plot. Everything we know so far is only surface level, and there is only one man who can reveal more and deeper, but he is busy making the film!
