Leading dance choreographer-turned-filmmaker Brindha is said to have been busy with the making of her next outing. She has roped in a few celebs to announce the first look and poster of her sophomore film as a director. Anirudh Ravichander, Nivin Pauly, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rana Daggubati, Aishwarya Rajesh and Desingh Periyasamy have released the same.

Titled Thugs, the project will be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The first look poster showcases the wrists of four unknown people set against a dark background.

Simha, RK Suresh, Munishkanth and Hridhu Haroon play lead roles in the movie which is touted to be an action drama. The film's story is said to revolve around the lives of a few gangsters in Kanyakumari. Sam CS will compose music for the project which is currently in the shooting stage. Riya Shibu is bankrolling the movie which has editing by Praveen Antony and cinematography by Priyesh Gurusamy.

Hey Sinamika (streaming on Netflix and Jio Cinema), which released earlier this year, marked Brindha's directorial debut. The rom-com, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles, had opened to mixed reviews upon its release in Tamil and Telugu.

Mani Ratnam's much-awaited magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan is her next outing as a choreographer. The multi-starrer movie is expected to release on September 30 in different languages. In an earlier chat with OTTplay, Brindha said that she considers herself lucky to have worked in such a prestigious project.

She said, "Mani sir often comes up with some interesting ideas related to dance movements. Since the film is billed as a big budget period flick, it was a never-before experience for me. I really had a great time composing interesting moves which the movie's story required."
