BTS members have ventured into individual solo careers, making a significant impact in music, fashion, and tourism, all while preparing for their impending mandatory military service in South Korea. Member Kim Taehyung, who played a crucial role in the Seoul Tourism ads, notably contributed to the campaign's success.

The "Seoul Edition 23" campaign video, featuring BTS' V, was launched as a collaborative project between the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Foundation. This video achieved a remarkable feat by accumulating a staggering 500 million views within just three weeks of its initial release on September 1.

The immense success of this campaign is attributed to the collaboration of BTS, particularly V, and their remarkable ability to resonate with a global audience.

Indeed, ARMY flocked to social media, especially X (formerly known as Twitter), to convey their immense pride in V and celebrate his accomplishments with the campaign.

The "Seoul Edition" campaign:

The "Seoul Edition" captures the vibrant allure of Seoul, portraying the city as a 'limited edition item' in harmony with the theme of the 2023 Seoul Tourism Campaign. It urges visitors to explore the city's unique charm at this very moment. The video is thoughtfully divided into two parts: Part 1, titled "New Tradition," highlights Seoul's contemporary and modern elements, while Part 2, "Nature in the City," showcases the city's natural beauty and elements.

The campaign featured a range of diverse locations, and V himself introduced five enchanting destinations in Seoul: Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Ikseon-dong, Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Sebitseom Island.

Gil Ki-yeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Foundation, is committed to expanding the global promotion of this campaign to draw even more tourists to Seoul.
