Buzz: Suriya, Pooja Hegde set to team up for the first time under Siva's direction for an ambitious project

A project which brings together Suriya and Siva has been under the plan for a long time. As per earlier reports, Gnanavel Raja was supposed to produce the untitled movie which was tentatively titled Suriya 39 when the news was out. But the director went ahead and made Annaatthe with Rajinikanth which was released in November last year.

According to the grapevine, the film is likely to commence after Suriya completes Vetri Maaran's Vaadivaasal and Bala's Suriya 41 (tentative title). Pooja Hegde's name has been doing the rounds on social media with regard to the female lead of the project.

A couple of years ago, there was news about the actress joining hands with Suriya for a film titled Aruvaa under Hari's direction. She took to her Twitter page then to clarify that nothing has been confirmed though she would like to make a re-entry to Tamil cinema. But Aruvaa didn't take off due to some reasons, and she made her re-entry in Kollywood with Beast.

Now, all eyes are on Suriya-Siva's project and an official update is awaited on the same. Contrary to earlier reports, Gnanavel will not be bankrolling the movie. According to sources, UV Creations, one of the leading production houses in Tollywood, will be producing the film.

There are unconfirmed reports that the movie will be a period flick which will be made in two parts. However, all these remain speculation until an official news comes out. Fans of Suriya are hopeful that one among Vaadivaasal and Suriya 41 would be hitting the screens.

Since the latter involves a huge budget and grand production design, Suriya 41 is expected to be released in theatres later this year, if everything goes well. The project which has Krithi Shetty playing the female lead has been bankrolled by Suriya's 2D Entertainment.
