Buzz: Vijay Sethupathi to join hands with Allu Arjun in the much-awaited pan Indian film Pushpa: The Rule

The success of Pushpa: The Rise, the first instalment of the Pushpa franchise, needs no introduction. The Allu Arjun-starrer directed by Sukumar went on to become a pan Indian hit, thanks to its gripping screenplay, chartbuster songs, interesting action scenes and intriguing performances from actors.

Needless to say, the second instalment, Pushpa: The Rule, is riding on humongous expectations even before the project is yet to take off. The makers recently announced that they are searching for newbies to play a few important characters in the movie. There were reports that Sukumar has been making a lot of changes to the script of the second part after the unanticipated success of the first part.

The latest we hear is that Vijay Sethupathi will be roped in to essay a significant role in the second instalment. Though an official confirmation is awaited, we hear that the actor's inclusion in the project is more or less confirmed.

Vijay was initially approached to play a part in Pushpa: The Rise, but he couldn't accept the offer because of his busy schedules. And now, it looks like Sukumar's dream to cast him opposite Allu Arjun as an antagonist is going to be fulfilled.

Vijay was earlier part of Uppena which was co-produced by Sukumar. The super hit movie marked the actor's sophomore project in Telugu and earned him much recognition. With the trio Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Sethupathi coming on board, the excitement surrounding Pushpa: The Rule will hit the roof.

Fahadh and Vijay were recently seen in the blockbuster Tamil film Vikram. The duo was earlier part of Super Deluxe though they didn't share screen presence. With the news breaking the internet, netizens have already started discussing the story of Pushpa: The Rule which is expected to release in theatres in 2023.
