Chhaava: Alia Bhatt reviews Vicky Kaushal's historical action film; 'Cannot get over...'

Laxman Utekar's Chhaava has been getting love and praise from not only fans and critics but also film industry people such as Rajkummar Rao, Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and more. A while ago, Alia Bhatt took to her social media account and shared her review for Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and she is impressed with the actor's performance.

On February 19, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram Story and re-shared a post of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. Sharing the post, she wrote, "Vicky Kaushal! What are you???? Cannot get over your performance in Chaava! @vickykaushal09."

Karan Johar calls Chhaava 'blockbuster'

Karan Johar shared a poster of Chhaava on his Instagram Story and wrote, "#chaava!!!! Badhai ho on the BLOCKBUSTER success of a solid film with an unstoppable and emotionally visceral and relentless last act."

He further added, "Vicky Kaushal is brilliant and is the SOUL and heartbeat of every frame and Akshaye Khanna is exemplary!! Congrats to Dinoo, Laxman and all @maddockfilms."

Chhaava cast

In Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal portrayed the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Rashmika Mandanna played the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's wife, Maharani Yesubai.

Akshaye Khanna earned praise for his Aurangzeb role. Diana Penty played Aurangzeb's daughter, Zinat-un-Nissa Begum. 

Meanwhile, Chhaava is a historical action film based on the life of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. It is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. 

Praising the film, one fan wrote, "chhaava is not just film it is our history it is an life time experience #VickyKaushal has just lived in the charector
2025 national award winner should be him pure goosebumps must watch bgm is also chhaava will be highest grosser of 2025 mark my words."

Another wrote, "The last 40 mins of Chhaava is the soul of the movie. You are in constant shock wondering whether this really happened because it is too intense Salute to Vicky Kaushal."

On the other hand, as per Sacnilk, Chhaava earned Rs. 24.50 crore at the box office on day 5. In total, it has collected Rs. 165 crore. According to early estimates, the film will earn more than Rs. 166 crore on day 6.
