Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna has been garnering a lot of praise and love from fans, critics, and celebrities. Amid these rave reviews, Madhya Pradesh announced the film tax-free. Announcing the news at an event, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared a video on his official X account.

Chhaava is now tax-free in Madhya Pradesh

Laxman Utekar's historical action movie has been announced tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took to his X account and shared the news. He wrote, "On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary, I announce tax-free release of the Hindi film, 'Chhaava', based on his son Sambhaji Maharaj."

Reacting to the appeals for the film's tax-free status, Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "I am happy that a very good movie has been made on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. While I have yet to watch it, I have heard from people that this film has been made without distorting history."

He further stated that the entertainment tax for films were removed in 2017 in Maharashtra. "We will see what best we can do to promote this film and make it available to as many people as possible," he added.

Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar praise Chhaava

On February 19, Alia Bhatt re-shared a post of Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava on her Instagram Story and wrote, "Vicky Kaushal! What are you???? Cannot get over your performance in Chaava! @vickykaushal09." She also praise Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar called the film 'solid.' He wrote, "Vicky Kaushal is brilliant and is the SOUL and heartbeat of every frame and Akshaye Khanna is exemplary!! Congrats to Dinoo, Laxman and all @maddockfilms."
