Chhaava worldwide box office collection: Vicky Kaushal's historical film, Chhaava, has been unstoppable since its theatrical release. The movie, helmed by Laxman Utekar, was theatrically released on February 14, 2025. Since then, the film has taken the box office by storm. After 17 days of its release, Chhaava grossed Rs 600 crore globally. The film, bashed on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's life, has shattered the worldwide record of Salman Khan's Sultan.
Maddock Films' Chhaava collected Rs 637 crore (gross) at the worldwide box office. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer surpassed Salman Khan's Sultan lifetime global collection in just 17 days since it was released. For the uninitiated, Khan's 2016 film with Anushka Sharma minted Rs 614.49 crore (gross) globally.
Interestingly, the historical drama, starring Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, collected Rs 556.44 crore (gross) in India. It remains to be seen how Chhaava will continue to perform further at the ticket window. Once its theatrical run will end, Vicky and Rashmika's Chhaava will head for its OTT premiere on Netflix. The makers are yet to announce the film's official OTT release date.
During the film's promotions, Vicky Kaushal revealed a quality he likes about Rashmika Mandanna. "I have never seen her cranky. I have never seen Rashmika in an off mood. It is possible that she was in an off mood. But she never shows it. She never lets anyone in the professional environment around her show it or makes anyone feel what she is feeling personally. Which I feel is such a great professional trait," the actor told India Today.
