Mansoor Ali Khan's recent comment on not getting a rape scene with Trisha in Leo has taken the internet by storm. Trisha, herself was the first to condemn the statement and she wrote, "A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. "

She added that she will never work with Mansoor Ali Khan ever in her career. "He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. (sic)."

Malavika Mohanan calls Mansoor Ali Khan's statement despicable

Reacting to the controversy, Malavika Mohanan, who was part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master, wrote, "This is disgusting on so many levels. It’s shameful enough that this is how this man views women & thinks about them, but then to have the guts(!!) to speak about it this openly & unapologetically, not even worried about repercussions?? Shame on you. Despicable beyond belief (sic)."

Khushbu calls out Mansoor Ali Khan's 'apology'

The actress pointed out that one cannot make such a comment in a lighter vein. She wrote, "Some men think it's their birth right to insult a woman or speak about her in a most disrespectful manner. Recent video of #MansoorAliKhan is one such example. I vehemently condemn his speech. They think their "chumma comedykku sonnen" attitude will be overlooked n ignored. No, it won't be done so."

She also asked him to apologise to every woman's name he has mentioned in the statement. It is to be noted that Mansoor had also mentioned Khushbu's name and he got to do a rape scene with her in his earlier movies. "He should apologise to every female actor he has named in his speech and to women in general for displaying his dirty, misogynist, lowly minsdset. Women of today are strong enough to fight for their respect & dignity."

Chinmayi lashed out at the series of misogynistic comments

The singer and dubbing artist pointed out that such comments have often been made and that no action has been taken against them. "The thing about men like Mansoor Ali Khan - they have always been talking like this. Never been condemned, with other men in power, money and influence laughing along; eeyy aamaa da macha correct ra maccha sorta thing. Robo Shankar said something on how he wants allowed to touch the actress; the actress had no idea what was being said but if I remember until a journalist called him out, everyone else was smiling even if they felt comfortable enough to share displeasure."
