Earlier this month, Udhayanidhi-starrer Nenjuku Needhi, the remake of Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15, was released in Tamil. Now, the remake of another film of the Bollywood star is set for a release. RJ Balaji's Veetla Vishesham, the remake of Badhaai Ho, will hit the screens on June 17.

Balaji himself has directed the movie along with NJ Saravanan. This is the duo's second directorial project after Mookuthi Amman which had a direct OTT release in 2020. Interestingly, Boney Kapoor, who bankrolled Nenjuku Needhi, is producing Veetla Vishesham, too, under his banner Bay View Projects along with Zee Studios.

The film's trailer was revealed by its makers recently. They have now come up with its first video song, titled Daddy Song. The peppy track crooned by Balaji has lyrics penned by Pa Vijay and music composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan. Balaji's helpless expressions after knowing that his mother and father are awaiting a child is the prime highlight of the video.

An excited Balaji took to Twitter to release the video and wrote, "Since @anirudhofficial is busy with multiple blockbusters, here Iam singing ‘The Daddy Song’ from நம்ம வீட்ல விஷேஷம் (sic)."

Sathyaraj and Urvashi play the elderly couple who surprises their family members and neighbours with the announcement of a new born baby to their house. The late Mollywood veteran actress KPAC Lalitha, Pugazh and Pavitra Lokesh play important roles in the movie which has Aparna Balamurali essaying the female lead.

Karthik Muthukumar has handled cinematography for the film which has editing by Selva RK and art direction by Vijayakumar R. Balaji has penned dialogues for Veetla Vishesham for which the makers have credited the story to original writers Akshat Ghildial and Shantanu Srivastava. Dinesh and Nandini Karky have choreographed dance sequences and handled subtitling for the project respectively.
