After Everything Everywhere All At Once and recent MCU films, the multiverse has become bread and water for viewers, though further explorations of the concept are still being made. One such refreshing re-imagining is Davey and Jonesie’s Locker, which is all set for its OTT debut. Comprising of 10 episodes, Davey and Jonesie’s Locker features showrunner and creator Evany Rosen as their high school principal.
Davey and Jonesie’s Locker will stream on Hulu starting March 22 in the US and Amazon Prime Video in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Viewers in India will be able to stream the show on Disney+, where all the Hulu content drops in the country. The trailer for the show was released yesterday, which offered a brief roller coaster ride through bizarre, multiple parallel universes that mirror us but are slightly odd or different.

The show authentically portrays the challenges and adventures of quirky teenagers who find themselves at odds with nearly all but one another. Instead of changing themselves, they decide to embrace and appreciate one another’s heart, humour, and creative instincts. Davey and Jonesie’s Locker follows the eponymous best friend duo as they navigate high school without making many friends other than each other.
Though this creates concern among their elders, the duo chooses to ignore it and focus on one another. But when they come across a portal to different universes, their strange science teacher, Mr. Schneider, who was previously a quantum physicist, plots a grab for power with his various multiversal selves. But the two decide to push his plans aside and go on fun, multiversal adventures together to escape their boring reality.
The trailer offers a sincere view of the wacky escapades of Davey and Jonesie as the two encounter slightly bizarre versions of their high school peers. They may have tried to escape reality but high school has no plans of deserting them. Instead of exotic places, the bestie duo encounters giant lobster men, people-eating radioactive spiders (if you read it, men, you are just cancelled), and werewolves in worlds ranging from black and white to technocolour punk rock.
