Deepika or Katrina, who will star opposite Kartik Aaryan in Kabir Khan's next?

Director Kabir Khan is all set to helm a war biopic, which will have Kartik Aryan in the lead. According to News 18, Kartik's upcoming film might include one of Bollywood's top actresses- Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif- as the leading lady.

The film will be bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala. A report in Bollywood Hungama says that after a series of flopped production ventures, including Tadap, Bachchan Pandey and Heropanti 2, which failed to create ripples at the box office. Sajid is looking to revive his career with Kartik Aryan, who is on a successful high and has emerged as one of the most bankable stars in the industry. Since Katrina is a close friend of director Kabir Khan, the chances of her bagging the role are higher when compared to Deepika.

Kartik was last seen in Anees Bazmee Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which shattered Bollywood's dry spell, grossing approximately Rs 250 crore at the global box office. The horror comedy had Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav as part of the star cast.

Apart from the Kabir Khan venture, the actor will be seen in Harshal Mehta's forthcoming flick Captain India as well, in which he will play a pilot. The actor shared the first look of his upcoming film on his social media handle. He also has in his kitty, Shehzada, the Hindi remake of Allu Arjun's Telugu film, Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo. Kriti Sanon will play the leading lady in it. Kartik also has Freddy, a romantic thriller directed by Shashanka Ghosh in which he co-stars with Alaya F.
