Dhanush is teaming up with Mithran Jawahar and Selvaraghavan after a decade's hiatus

It was only a couple of months ago that Mithran P Jawahar's Thiruchitrambalam, starring Dhanush in the lead, went on floors in Chennai. We hear that the multi-faceted actor has now wrapped up his portions for the movie which has Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar essaying female leads. The project brings together the sensational combination of Dhanush and Anirudh (also known as DnA) after Maari which released in 2015.
Thiruchitrambalam had last hit the headlines when a video from its shooting spot where Dhanush and Nithya were seen shaking a leg went viral recently. The movie marks the actor's reunion with director Mithran after Uthamaputhiran which released more than a decade ago. Produced by Sun Pictures, the project features Prakash Raj and Bharathiraaja as well in crucial roles. The director's last outing, Mathil, had premiered on Zee5 earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Dhanush is now busy with the final schedule of Karthick Naren's Maaran in which he plays the titular role. He will be seen essaying a journalist for the first time in the film which has Malavika Mohanan playing his love interest. Smruthi Venkat, Samuthirakani and Mahendran among others are also playing important roles in the project which is tipped as an action thriller. Its first look was released a couple of months ago.
After wrapping up his scenes for Maaran, the Karnan star is expected to join his brother Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven which is likely to commence later this month. The director had earlier released a picture from the project's pre production. Though there were speculation that the team might come up with a different title for the movie, there has been no update from them so far. Dhanush and Selvaraghavan are joining hands after a decade; their last outing was Mayakkam Enna.
