Dhanush wears many hats. He's an actor, director, producer, songwriter and singer. But, of all the hats, the one he proudly showcases is admiration for Superstar Rajinikanth. Even though Rajinikanth is his father-in-law and grandfather to his children, Dhanush can't just get enough of the Thalavaiar.

Dhanush took a break from his busy schedule to watch the first day, the first show of Rajinikanth's Jailer in a crowded theatre in Chennai. The visuals of Dhanush emerging out of the theatre have surfaced online. Despite the risk of getting mobbed, Dhanush has demonstrated his unwavering fandom for Rajinikanth by picking a crowded single screen to watch Jailer among the fans. If he wanted, he could have managed to get a private screening of the movie. Or he could have picked a multiplex screen where the crowd is less mellow. However, his choice to watch it along with fans at a crowded single-screen theatre shows his genuine love for Rajinikanth.

Dhanush gave a big thumbs-up to the crowd when asked for his reaction to the movie.

Earlier this week, Dhanush also tweeted his excitement saying "It's JAILER week." Not just for Jailer, Dhanush has never missed watching the first day, the first show of all Rajinikanth movies. Besides being a fan, he had also bankrolled Rajinikanth's Kaala, which was written and directed by Pa Ranjith.

Jailer has garnered a lot of appreciation from fans across the world. Written and directed by Nelson, the film stars Rajinikanth as a retired police officer. He gets on the quest for retribution when his only son gets killed by a bloodthirsty criminal.

"Rajinikanth doesn't need to perform extraordinary feats. All he has to do is appear and flip a cigar into his mouth, the screen will set itself on fire. Nelson cleverly uses the cameos of Shivarajkumar's Narasimha and Mohanlal's Mathew to further heighten the excitement. These stars may be ageing, but their brilliance remains undiminished," wrote OTTplay's film critic Manoj Kumar R.
