Dharam Paaji has won the hearts of viewers since his Sholay days with his bold dialogue delivery and exceptional screen presence. The veteran actor has a similar fanbase on social media, where the octogenarian is interactive and interesting.

Dharmendra posted a photo today, clicked by his grandson and near-namesake Dharam. The senior performer proclaimed his beloved grandson ‘Ustaad’and gave him due credit for taking the shot.

In the photo, Dharmendra was seen seated in a warm room with a showpiece in front. But all those are out of focus, with all eyes and autofocus on him. Smiling sweetly, the actor looks right into the camera. The photo, indeed captured expertly, further enhances Dharamji’s warmth and aura.

The post has already gathered thousands of likes from his fan base, with his family at the forefront. While Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol shared a multitude of red hearts, Esha Deol dropped a heart full of love, a ‘nazar na lag jaye’ emoji, as well as many hugs.

Dharmendra was last seen in Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, where he essayed the memorable role of Kamal ji, who suffered from fragmented memory and physical restrictions due to age and an unfortunate accident in his youth. Though the film has a bittersweet ending for him, his character triumphs in love.

In an interview with Times Now in August, Dharam Ji had shared how the industry never gave their family due credit and that they have ‘always believed in letting our work speak for us.’ He also referred to Sunny Deol’s blooming box office achievement with Gadar 2 and explained how, despite his son being a part of two of the ‘biggest blockbusters of all time,’ he has never bragged about or mentioned his achievements.

Then he spoke about Bobby Deol’s success with Animal and shared that though their family has never been given their due by the film industry, they do not mind. A simple example of it was the utter lack of awards in Dharam Ji’s bag for Satyakam (1969).

Dharmendra will next be seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which will drop in theatres on February 9. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Dimple Kapadia as well. He will also be a part of Ekkis, which will begin shooting in January this year.
