The world is waiting with bated breath to see the X-Men enter the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and take over the reins. In 2024, apart from being about Echo and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, it is more about the mutants, the X-Men, and their entry into the world that right now needs a strong lineup to bounce back to glory. X-Men ’97 is an animated series that will hit the streaming wing of the studio through Disney+ and is already one of the most anticipated shows. It turns out we now know much more than just the announcement.
X-Men ’97 Release Window
Ever since it was confirmed that X-Men ’97 will be released on Disney+ in 2024, fans have been awaiting updates on the same. While there is no official teaser, trailer, or poster attached to the project as of yet, there is a lot that is being rumoured. Reports in THR have defined the series as "a spiritual and tonal continuation of the classic 1990s series that aired on Fox.” It turns out that the internet now knows the titles of the episodes.
First of all, X-Men ’97 will be a 10-episode series, with every episode delving into a different conflict. The titles have confirmed one big thing and that is Motendo. This could be the episode where Mojo traps Jubilee and Sunspot in a 16-bit video game. There is also mutant liberation that hints at a very interesting drama, and the three-part climax that brings at episodes 8 and 10 titled Tolerance Is Extinction has caught our attention.
The Titles Of All 10 Episodes Are As Follows:
E1: To Me, My X-Men
E2: Mutant Liberation Begins
E3: Fire Made Flesh
E4: Motendo
E5: Remember It
E6: Bright Eyes
E7: Shine With Strength Reborn
E8: Tolerance is Extinction - Part 1
E9: Tolerance is Extinction - Part 2
E10: Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3
The Big Rumour
It is also being said that Cable will have a pivotal role in X-Men ’97, and the show will have the mutants fight many villains, including Mister Sinister, Bastion, and a deadly new wave of Sentinels. This means there is a whole lot of drama waiting for us on the other end. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else in the world of streaming and films.
