Netflix has exclusively released a deleted scene from season four of The Crown that shows Emma Corrin as Princess Diana, singing All I Ask of You. The video opens with Emma playing the videotape and watching her performance. The song from the 1986 English musical The Phantom of the Opera is believed to be one of the favourite songs of Princess Diana.

According to an article by Washington Post in 1988, the princess sang the song for her husband Prince Charles on their seventh wedding anniversary. The Post wrote that the composer Andrew Lloyd Webber was also present on the occasion to watch the performance of the princess.

Earlier in November last year, The Phantom of the Opera tweeted confirming Princess Diana's performance at the event. They tweeted: "Princess Diana on one of her several visits to the Phantom. All I Ask of You was always one of her favourite songs, with her once making a private video on the Phantom’s stage. Excited to see this moment in @TheCrownNetflix with the wonderful Emma Corrin. #TheCrown"

The Netflix original drama series The Crown is based on an award-winning play The Audience by showrunner Peter Morgan. It depicts the journey of Queen Elizabeth II. Produced by Sony-backed Left Bank Pictures, the British royal drama will have six seasons.

The show creator Morgan had earlier decided to end the series with season five but then extended the drama with another season to 'do “justice to the richness and complexity of the story'. Netflix had shared his statement on their Twitter handle which reads, “As we started to discuss the storylines for Series 5, it soon became clear that to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story we should go back to the original plan and do six seasons.”

Meanwhile, Netflix unveiled the first look of Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Dominic West as Prince Charles and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana from the upcoming fifth season.
