Saw X

While the Saw franchise has expanded considerably since its inception in 2004, the film series' reception has steadily declined over its nine instalments. Ironically, the ninth film was aptly titled Spiral. However, with its tenth instalment, Saw X, the franchise appears to have finally regained its footing, delivering a compelling and lore-friendly narrative that has revitalised the series.

It tells a story about John Kramer, who is hoping for a miraculous cure, and travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer uses deranged and ingenious traps to turn the tables on the con artists.

The Nun II

It tells a story about a young nun, who lives at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order's unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.

This Conjuring franchise has been rated R for its violent content and terror, featuring blood and gore.

Cobweb

It tells a story about an eight-year-old boy Peter and his parents, driven by a twisted desire to conceal their past misdeeds, had entombed his sister within the walls of their home, subjecting her to years of neglect and abuse. The once innocent girl had been transformed into a mere shadow of her former self, a creature tormented by both physical and emotional wounds.

Their secret, however, was not destined to remain hidden forever. The disappearance of a young girl on Halloween, a tragedy that had cast a pall over the community, was traced back to Peter's parents. In a desperate attempt to safeguard their dark legacy, they had silenced the innocent girl, their actions driven by a fear of exposure rather than remorse.

A Haunting in Venice

It tells the story about Hercule Poirot, the famed detective, who after World War II, had retreated into self-imposed exile in the labyrinthine city of Venice. Despite his desire for solitude, he was drawn into a seance organised by a mysterious medium. However, this gathering took a sinister turn when one of the guests was found murdered. Reluctantly, Poirot was forced to abandon his retirement and once again delve into the murky depths of human nature to unravel the truth behind this shocking crime.
