Hoichoi is all set to come up with its slate announcement by the end of this month. A bunch of new seasons of old shows, along with new shows, are expected to be announced. According to sources, a number of shows, including Parambrata Chatterjee’s paranormal thriller, the seventh season of Eken Babu, Indu 3, the second season of Ghobir Joler Mach, and the second part of Nikhoj, will be announced at the event.
Meanwhile, Ambarish Bhattacharya is gearing up for a new character for a brand new show. Billed as a courtroom drama, the show will delve into the life of a simple lawyer – Achinta Aich – who only gets to handle small cases. He is an emotional person with integrity. The first season aims to show how he deals with an important case. It will be directed by Eken Babu-fame Joydeep Mukherjee. According to sources, Hoichoi plans to develop the show as their next franchise. The shooting will start by the end of November. The look set has started. The other cast members are yet to be decided. Evidently, Joydeep will start working on it after he finishes the next season of Eken Babu.
There has been no confirmation from the makers. Ambarish is busy shooting in North Bengal with Dev, Soham Chakraborty, and others for Pradhan. Ambarish’s latest web series Kumudini Bhavan was dropped recently on Hoichoi. In the series, the actor plays a cop who is assisted by Ushasi Ray to solve a murder at a ladies’ hostel. The show received moderate reviews.
